The QTR1A Contrast Edge Sensor is a compact reflective sensor designed for detecting differences between black and white surfaces. It is particularly suitable for mini sumo and sumo robots, where it can be used to detect the white boundary of the dohyo and help prevent the robot from leaving the arena. The sensor is based on the QRE1113GR reflective optocoupler and can also be integrated into line following and other contrast detection applications.
