The IR Break Beam Sensor is an efficient photoelectric switch for detecting motion or presence within a defined area. It operates by emitting an invisible IR light beam from one side to a receiver on the opposite side. When an object interrupts this beam, the receiver detects the break, signaling the presence of an object. This break-beam method is quicker and more precise than other motion detection technologies, such as PIR sensors, and is highly cost-effective compared to sonar modules.
