The 10D471K is a compact, radial-lead Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) designed for protecting low- to medium-power circuits from voltage surges. It has a varistor voltage of 470V, allowing it to effectively suppress spikes in AC power lines, particularly where 300VAC nominal voltages are used. The 10mm disc size makes it ideal for space-constrained designs, while still delivering a surge current rating of 2.5KA (8/20µs). It reacts quickly to voltage surges with a response time under 25ns and is commonly used in consumer electronics, power supplies, relays, and control systems.
