The HXSP-2108B is a versatile converter that is compatible with the RS-232, RS-485, and RS-422 standards and has an external power supply. It can convert single-ended RS-232 signals to balanced RS-485/RS-422 signals. The RS-232 interface connects to the computer's serial port via a DB9 female connector, while the RS-485/RS-422 interface connects to a 6-terminal board via a DB9 male connector. Alternatively, an RJ-45 port can be used to connect to devices with an RJ-45 connector. The converter's inner circuit automatically senses the direction of data flow and switches to enable controls automatically, making it easy to build a RS-485 network without the need for handshaking signals.
