Description :
- The "Greenhouse Effect" is causing the Earth's ice to melt and create dangerous icebergs.
- By measuring the concentration of CO2, we can take steps to reduce it and protect the Earth.
- DFRobot has developed an Arduino-based CO2 sensor that can be used to detect CO2 levels.
- The sensor uses an MG-811 module which is highly sensitive to CO2 and less sensitive to alcohol and CO, and has low humidity and temperature dependency.
- The sensor has an onboard heating circuit to bring the best temperature for the sensor to function, and an internal power boosting circuit to 6V for optimal sensor performance.
- The sensor also has an onboard conditioning circuit to amplify the output signal.
- The sensor is easy to use with the Gravity Interface, which allows for plug-and-play connectivity, and is best used with the Arduino IO expansion shield.
- DFRobot has also developed other CO2 sensors, including an Analog Infrared CO2 Sensor for Arduino (0-5000ppm) and a UART Infrared CO2 Sensor (0-50000ppm) for wider range and more precise measurements.
