DIL40/PLCC44 ZIF PIC-1

The special adapter is designed specifically for programming and testing PICmicro microcontrollers in the PLCC44 (Plastic Leaded Chip Carrier) package, including PIC16x6x, PIC16x7x, and PIC18Fxxx series. It provides a convenient solution for programming and testing these PICmicro devices.



The special adapter features a ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) socket with a PLCC44 OpenTop type design, allowing for easy insertion and removal of the PICmicro device during programming and testing. The ZIF socket has an operating (mechanical) warranty of 10,000 actuations, indicating its durability and longevity for repeated use.



The special adapter has 2 rows with 2x20 pins each, arranged in a square pattern with a pitch of 0.6x0.6mm (600 mil) between the rows. This configuration is specifically designed for PICmicro devices in PLCC44 package, providing a secure and reliable connection during programming and testing.



The special adapter also includes provisions for NC (No Connect) pins at positions 1, 17, 28, and 40, which are not connected or used in the programming or testing process. This ensures compatibility with PICmicro devices that have these NC pins.
