ANTISTATIC STRAP

This is an anti-static wrist strap that helps protect electronics from accidental electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage during repairs. It is custom manufactured by iFixit for "American" sized wrists and has a band size of .75" x 8" unstretched. The band is made of an elastic polyester/stainless steel weave with an adjustable buckle, and the cord is coiled with a length of 6 feet / 2 meters and a resistance of 1 M(Ohm). To prevent static charge build-up, it is important to ground yourself while working on sensitive electronics, and this wrist strap allows for rapid static dissipation to prevent voltage spikes.
