The PSRAM chip is a memory device designed to add 8 Megabytes of RAM to the Teensy 4.1 board. The chip should be soldered to the smaller pads located on the bottom side of Teensy 4.1, underneath the SD card socket between pins 31-32 and 33-34. A single chip provides 8 MB of RAM, but the capacity can be increased to 16 MB by soldering two chips. The PSRAM chip can be used in conjunction with flash memory for non-volatile storage. The larger pads are meant for flash memory, while the smaller pads are intended for the PSRAM chip.
