MAX517 2-Wire Serial 8-Bit Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC)

The MAX517 is a single, 8-bit DAC designed for applications where space and ease of use are critical. It uses a 2-wire interface that allows multiple devices to communicate on the same bus, making it ideal for systems with minimal I/O lines. Unlike the MAX518 (which uses VDD as a reference) or the MAX519 (a dual DAC), the MAX517 features a dedicated external reference input that allows the output range to be customized.
