UF5408 Ultrafast Recovery Rectifier

The UF5408 is a high-voltage, ultrafast recovery rectifier diode designed for high-efficiency, high-speed switching applications. It features a glass-passivated chip junction that provides high reliability and low switching losses, making it ideal for converting AC signals to DC in high-frequency environments. Its primary advantage is its 75ns recovery time, which allows it to function efficiently in circuits where standard recovery diodes would fail due to excessive heat and switching lag. This diode is a standard choice for high-speed switching power supplies (SMPS), DC-DC converters, and inverters for consumer electronics, telecommunications, and industrial machinery. While it shares the 1000V/3A rating of the popular general-purpose 1N5408, it is far faster and cannot be replaced by the 1N5408 in high-frequency applications. The DO-201AD molded plastic case features a color band to identify the cathode and is built to UL 94 V-0 flammability standards for safety.
