The TIC206D is a silicon triac that operates in four quadrants, designed for controlling AC loads. It is constructed with a glass-passivated wafer, offering stability and high performance. This triac can handle up to 4A RMS on-state current and a repetitive peak off-state voltage of 400V.
With a peak gate trigger current as low as 5mA, this triac is suitable for sensitive gate triggering. The TIC206D can be used in a wide range of applications, including motor speed controls, lighting dimmers, static relays, and phase control operations. The TO-220 package offers robust mechanical design for easy mounting.
