The ULN2068 is a monolithic, high-voltage, high-current quad Darlington switch array designed to interface low-level logic to a wide variety of peripheral loads. Each of the four independent NPN Darlington switches is capable of delivering up to 1.5A of continuous current, making it ideal for driving high-power components such as relays, solenoids, DC motors, and stepping motors. The device includes integrated freewheeling clamp diodes to protect against transient voltages when switching inductive loads. Additionally, the ULN2068 features an internal pre-driver stage that significantly reduces the input current required from the controlling logic, allowing it to be driven directly by standard 5V microcontrollers.
