The TJA1041T is a high-speed CAN transceiver that provides an advanced interface between the protocol controller and the physical bus in a Controller Area Network (CAN) node. Primarily intended for automotive high-speed CAN applications, it offers differential transmit and receive capability to the CAN controller. The transceiver is fully compatible with the ISO 11898 standard and supports communication speeds up to 1 Mbit/s. It features low-power management with very low-current Standby and Sleep modes, supporting both local and remote wake-up with wake-up source recognition. The TJA1041T also includes several protection and diagnosis functions, such as short-circuit protection of the bus lines, thermal protection, and automatic adaptation of I/O levels in line with the supply voltage of the controller. Its excellent electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) performance and passive behavior when the supply voltage is off make it a reliable choice for automotive applications.
