The CD4511BM is a CMOS BCD to 7-segment latch/decoder/driver designed to drive common-cathode displays. It converts 4-bit binary-coded decimal (BCD) input into outputs suitable for driving LED segments (a–g), allowing for easy numerical display interfacing in digital counters, clocks, meters, and embedded systems.

This version comes in a SOIC-16 SMD package, making it ideal for space-constrained surface-mount designs. It includes internal latches to store input data, a blanking input (BI), a lamp test (LT), and a latch enable (LE) pin to enhance versatility. Its wide voltage compatibility from 3V to 15V makes it suitable for both 5V and 12V systems, with typical low-power CMOS operation.
