The ATmega64A is a low-power CMOS 8-bit microcontroller from Microchip Technology, based on the AVR enhanced RISC architecture. By executing powerful instructions in a single clock cycle, the ATmega64A achieves throughputs approaching 1 MIPS per MHz, allowing system designers to optimize power consumption versus processing speed.
This microcontroller features 64KB of In-System Self-Programmable Flash memory, enabling firmware updates without external programming devices. It also includes 4KB of SRAM and 2KB of EEPROM, providing ample data storage for a variety of applications.
