The M27C800-100F1 is a 8Mbit (1Mb x 8 or 512Kb x 16) UltraViolet Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (UV EPROM) and One-Time Programmable (OTP) EPROM, designed for high-speed computing, firmware storage, and embedded applications. It provides high-density non-volatile memory, making it ideal for BIOS storage, automotive applications, and industrial control systems.
With a 100ns access time, this EPROM ensures fast and reliable data access. The device operates with a single 5V power supply and offers both word-wide and byte-wide data access. The organization is selectable using the BYTEVPP pin, which configures the memory as either 8-bit or 16-bit storage.
The FDIP42W package features a transparent window, allowing erasure using ultraviolet light, making it suitable for reprogramming and prototyping. For applications requiring a permanent programmed solution, the M27C800 is also available in PDIP42, PLCC44, and SO44 packages as a one-time programmable (OTP) variant.
The M27C800 is a drop-in replacement for standard 8Mbit Mask ROMs and supports JEDEC-standard pinouts. This memory IC is widely used in industrial automation, telecommunications, automotive systems, and gaming consoles.
