The PCA82C250 is a high-performance CAN controller interface designed for high-speed automotive applications up to 1 Mbit/s. It provides differential transmit capability to the bus and differential receive capability to the CAN controller. Fully compliant with ISO 11898 standards, this IC is optimized for automotive environments with protection against transients and high immunity against electromagnetic interference (EMI).

It supports up to 110 connected nodes on the CAN bus, with built-in thermal protection and short-circuit proof to the battery and ground.
