# Additional Features The MKR Motor Carrier integrates two MC33926 motor drivers for high-performance DC motor control, providing direct connection to the MKR1000, current feedback, and handling up to 5 Amps (peak). It also includes two DRV8871 drivers, managed by the SAMD11 microcontroller, which communicates with the MKR1000 via I2C (with SPI as an option). The SAMD11 manages the servos, encoder readings, and battery voltage monitoring, with an interrupt line on PA27 connecting the SAMD11 to the MKR board.
