"The LM5010 Step Down Switching Regulator is designed with all the functions necessary to implement a low-cost, efficient buck bias regulator. It can supply over 1A load current. This high-voltage regulator incorporates an N-Channel Buck Switch and is available in thermally enhanced 10-pin WSON and 14-pin HTSSOP packages. The regulator operates at a constant frequency, which remains unchanged despite variations in line and load due to the inverse relationship between input voltage and on-time. The valley current limit detection is set at 1.25A. Notable features include VCC under-voltage lockout, thermal shutdown, gate drive under-voltage lockout, and a maximum duty cycle limiter. Importantly, the scheme employed in this regulator requires no loop compensation, resulting in fast load transient response and simplifying circuit implementation.
