Gesture Control Robot
Create a robotic car that moves based on your hand gestures using accelerometer technology.
Full workshop Description:
In this hands-on workshop, students will build a robot that responds to human gestures. Using an accelerometer and microcontroller, students will code the robot to recognize specific hand motions and translate them into real-world movement. This project introduces wireless communication and motion-based control.
Learning Outcomes:
-
Understand how accelerometers interpret motion
-
Implement gesture-based control via Arduino
-
Learn wireless data transmission using RF modules
-
Build and test a functional gesture-responsive robot
-
Fully hands-on workshop.
Target Audience:
Ages 12–18 with basic knowledge of programming
Tools Used:
Arduino, Accelerometer (GY-521), RF Transmitters, Motor driver, Robot car, the kits provided by Besomi during the workshop, with the possibility to purchase them.
