Based on LM2596S 3.0 A, Step-Down Switching Regulator chip
High efficiency (about 92%)
150KHz high switching frequency, small filter components
Precision multiturn potentiometers to adjust output voltage and current
Input voltage range: 1.5V to 35V
High current of 3A, continuous current under 2.5A is recommended
Power over 10 watts requires a heatsink
Can be used as a post regulator for DC adaptors and power supplies, battery charger or LED current source
Can be used with car battery or cigarette ignition port for regulating car voltage
