LM3886T, 68W Audio Power Amplifier with Mute, TO-220-11

The LM3886T is a high-performance audio power amplifier capable of delivering 68W of continuous average power to a 4Ω load and 38W into 8Ω with 0.1% THD+N from 20Hz to 20kHz. Utilizing its Self Peak Instantaneous Temperature (SPiKe) protection circuitry, the LM3886T provides a dynamically protected Safe Operating Area (SOA), ensuring reliability under various fault conditions. The amplifier features an input mute function, output protection from shorts to ground or supplies via internal current limiting circuitry, output over-voltage protection against transients from inductive loads, and supply under-voltage protection, preventing internal biasing when |VEE| + |VCC| ≤ 12V. Packaged in an 11-lead TO-220, the LM3886T is suitable for a wide range of audio applications, including component stereo systems, self-powered speakers, surround-sound amplifiers, and high-end stereo TVs.​
