TIC216 Series, Sensitive Gate TRIACs, TO-220

The TIC216 series comprises silicon bidirectional triode thyristors (TRIACs) designed for general-purpose AC switching and phase control applications. With a sensitive gate triggering requirement of a maximum of 5 mA, these TRIACs can be easily controlled by low-power gate drive circuits, making them ideal for interfacing with microcontrollers and other logic devices. The series supports an RMS on-state current of up to 6 A and can withstand non-repetitive surge peak on-state currents up to 60 A, ensuring reliable performance under demanding conditions.
