Grove - GUVA-S12D UV Sensor

The Grove UV Sensor is a compact and reliable module designed to measure ultraviolet (UV) light intensity in the surrounding environment. It is built around the GUVA-S12D UV photodiode, which is specifically designed to detect ultraviolet radiation within the UV-A and UV-B spectrum. The sensor converts UV light levels into a proportional analog voltage output, allowing microcontrollers to easily read and process UV intensity data.

This module is ideal for applications such as environmental monitoring, outdoor weather stations, sun exposure measurement, wearable electronics, and educational projects. It does not measure UV index directly but provides raw analog data that can be calibrated in software to estimate relative UV exposure levels.

The standard Grove interface enables quick plug-and-play connection with compatible development boards, minimizing wiring complexity and setup time. With low power consumption and stable performance across a wide temperature range, the Grove UV Sensor is well suited for both indoor and outdoor sensing applications.
